LOCTITE® SI 5900 is a moisture-cured, heavy-bodied RTV silicone form-in-place flange sealant designed to provide excellent resistance to oil and joint movement.
Its high-viscosity formulation allows it to withstand in-line, low-pressure testing before curing begins, making it ideal for production environments. Typical applications include stamped sheet metal covers, and it can seal gaps up to 1 mm (0.04") on metal, plastic, glass, and ceramic substrates.
The sealant has a skin-over time of approximately 15 minutes and forms a durable seal that will not shrink, compress, crack, or relax, even when exposed to oil or joint movement.
